Delta Upsilon (ΔΥ), commonly known as DU, is a collegiate men's fraternity founded on November 4, 1834 at Williams College in Williamstown, Massachusetts. It is the sixth-oldest, all-male, college Greek-letter organization founded in North America and the oldest at the University of Western Ontario. Founded as Sigma Kappa Sigma (ΣΚΣ) in 1925, the chapter was officially charted on December 5th, 1931.
We are informally known as "DU" or "Delta U" and our members are called "DUs". Although historically found on the campuses of small New England private universities, Delta Upsilon currently has 69 chapters/colonies across the United States and Canada. At the University of Western Ontario our chapter boast membership that includes Richard M. Ivey, D.B. Weldon, John Robarts and Alan Thicke.
Membership in Delta Upsilon is based on merit, and comes with the expectation that all members strive to achieve their best in academics, philanthropy, athletics, and social life. Our home located on 294 Central Ave. is still home for over 1500 local chapter alumni.

DU Western is currently home to over 30 undergraduate or local brothers who share the similar ideals of our fraternity, and its founding principles of the Advancement of Justice, Development of Character, Promotion of Friendship, and Diffusion of Liberal Culture. Each generation of our brotherhood is built throughout our experiences and allows us to form a special bond, just like family.

The Alumni of Delta Upsilon own and operate the chapter house located on 294 Central Ave. Since 2018 they have been on a capital raising campaign to help secure the future of DU on campus. To date, we have raised over $500,000 to renovate the property and create an endowment fund to provide scholarships to undergraduate members.
Homecoming and events.
During Western’s annual Homecoming, our Delta Upsilon chapter hosts a celebration to commemorate another year of operation, the success of our chapter, and for all generations of our fraternity to reconnect.
